When our German Parent Company first showed me this new product that we introduced to our range at the end of 2019, I will admit that I wasn’t that struck by it. I didn’t like the name and I thought it looked a bit lightweight and possibly a bit small.
Having now used it for the first time myself, in our new garden along the side of our offices, I take back everything I ever said about this new product!
Alright, I’m still not keen on the name! But I can get past that!
The fact is, if you or your customers have got any edging to do in your garden or allotment, or any outside domestic space, this system is ideal. It’s so quick and easy to fit. I was trying to fit it into extremely hard rocky/stony ground which didn’t make it easy, but it performed nonetheless. We’re using it as an edging strip between a gravel path and a soil slope that we will be seeding to make a grass bank. It’s the perfect size, not too big and certainly not too small as I once thought. The way it interlocks together is simple and easy and does actually stay together firmly as soon as it’s clicked into place.
The fact that you can bend it around any corner makes it so easy to create lines that go around anything that may be in your way, or simply to make a more attractive, interesting path.
When your alternatives are wood, which over time is going to rot, or concrete plinths which are both expensive, heavy and not easy to fit, and especially don’t bend around corners, our Edgar edging is so much better!
I’m useless with DIY projects and any kind of manual labour, and the truth is, I laid 25 metres of this edging in less than an hour, on one of the hottest days of the year into incredibly hard ground.
I rarely get to use our products, because I have a brother who excels in this type of work so he normally does it for me(!), but the Edgar edging made this job easy enough for me. Which makes it easy enough for anyone. I know you may not know that to be true, but I urge you to take a look at this product and give it a go for yourself.
