Why is the tap not at the bottom of the water butts?
The reason why the tap is not placed at the bottom of the water butt, is that the water that permanently stays into the recipient is heavy enough to offer stability, so your water but won’t fall if blown by the wind.
What happens if it freezes? Do I need to do anything for winter? Do I need to empty it for winter?
Water butts need to be drained in the winter to avoid water from freezing in them. If water freezes in your recipient, the water butt will get cracked or deformed under the pressure.
Can I attach my water butt to a wall?
The water-butts that, due to their particular shape, are prone to falling down, are usually equipped with wall-mounting brackets to add stability.
Do the water butts need additional filtration?
The system that we provide is already equipped with a filtration device. We recommend you use the collected rainwater for gardening purposes only, in which case no additional filters are required.
How do the downpipe filters work?
Garantia UK supplies different types of filters. Most of them function by combining a steel or plastic grid or mesh with using the walls of the downpipe in collecting the water, thus allowing heavier bodies to fall through the middle of the pipe.
Can I join multiple water tanks together?
Our water butts are designed to be easily joined together if there is a need for it. The connection is done with the help of a connection kit that contains a small hose, a drill bit, and all the fittings that you will need to connect the water butts together.
