Helpful information on installing your downpipe
The Slim Wall Tank comes with a set up kit for installing your tank to your downpipe.
Note: this is not the downpipe diverter. This needs to be purchased separately – simply select the desired Downpipe Diverter. If you are connecting your tank to a square downpipe, the Square Downpipe Diverter will be required.
- The water butts do not come predrilled. This product is very easy to use and can be drilled in by anyone. Simply attach the drill bit onto your drill and begin drilling – remember you must drill the hole in the water butt at the same level as the hole in the downpipe!
- As long as the holes drilled in both the water butt and the downpipe are level, the water butt will continue down the downpipe when the water butt is full.

hi, is there also a tap connection option on the short side of the tank?
Good afternoon,
Unfortunately, no the only tap connection available for this tank is as know on the website.
Thanks,
Gerty
For the third time of asking please tell me the diameter of the hole I need to cut in my cast iron down pipe for your diverter system. The drill cutter you provide will NOT do the job. I am desperate to order and for delivery but I will not order without the information requested. Call me on the number I have previously given when the response to my question I got was ‘I don’t know’
Hi Frederick,
I do apologies for not receiving the answer you were hoping for.
The diameter is 44mm.
If you have any other questions, feel free to be in touch.
Kind regards,
Gerty
What dimension access hole is required in the gutter down pipe for tank filling? My drains are all cast iron and not easy to drill.
Hi Frederick,
The hole saw supplied will not cut a cast iron pipe. You would need a tungston carbide tipped hole saw to do this. Not an easy job!
Kind regards,
Gerty
Does this tank require securing to a structure?
Hi Frederick,
It can stand alone, but we recommend it’s against a wall for stability.
It does not need securing, unless you are attaching a diverter to the downpipe.
Once it has water in it below the tap that will act as a weight also.
I hope this helps.
Thanks, Gerty
